RESCHEDULED: 2015 Sojourner Truth Lecture with U. of Penn's Roberts on 4/14
Professor Dorothy Roberts

The rescheduled 2015 Sojourner Truth Lecture will happen next week on Tuesday, April 14, in room E on the third floor of the Johnson Center. Cosponsored by Women and Gender Studies and African and African American Studies, this year's lecture will feature University of Pennsylvania law and sociology professor Dorothy Roberts. She has written nine books essential to black feminist theory.

“As a woman of color who is deeply committed to the Women and Gender Studies program, I believe Roberts provides a powerful lens into the intersection of race, sexual identity/orientation, violence, power, patriarchy, feminism, privilege, citizenship and immigration—all crucial in navigating our world’s changing societies,” says Nancy Xiong, Women and Gender Studies program director.
