Sojourner Truth Lecture: Politics and Protest

Sojourner Truth Lecture: Politics and Protest
The Sojourner Truth Lecture seeks to center and celebrate individuals who embody the legacy and spirit of Sojourner Truth. This year we are planning to invite panelist of Black women involved in politics and activism to discuss intersections between politics and protest.

This panel discussion will examine the power of politics and protest as pathways in the pursuit of justice. This event features Dr. Maya Rockeymoore Cummings, consultant and former chair of the Maryland Democratic Party and Aja Clark, activist, and reproductive health educator. Discussion will be moderated by Mason's very own, Dr. Yevette Richards Jordan.

There will be a student meet and greet from 11:00am-12:00pm and a staff/faculty meet and greet from 12:00pm-1:00pm.
