I have been an active member of the George Mason community since I was a student. I feel strongly that we must support the next generation of George Mason grads in any way that we can. Please consider joining me in supporting the African and African American Studies program at George Mason.
Gifts to this program would:
- Encourage and support AAAS students to pursue study abroad opportunities, which has been proven to increase retention and grade point averages while enhancing applications for jobs, fellowships, and graduate school.
- Enable the program to invite lecturers and speakers to enhance coursework through opportunities for networking and intellectual engagement.
- Provide financial support to enable students to accept unpaid internships and gain valuable work experience.
As alumni, it is our job to make sure current students and those who will come years after, can thrive and make their mark in the world as future George Mason alumni, change makers who are educated, enlightened, and empowered.
Proud Mason Patriot,
Monica Hughes Davy, BA English ’91
