Xanthia Johnson honored with distinguished alumni award

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to honor Xanthia Bianca Johnson, BA Biology '99; African and African American Studies Minor, with the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Award in African and African American Studies. Johnson is the founder and chief executive officer of Urban Playology, LLC, a private practice in Washington, D.C., where she revolutionized the provision of psychotherapy and integrative healing for communities of color and the LGBTIQA+ community.
