Pages and Sections
- The web pages that are in resource groups are in a section called Resource Page. Double click on the section to view the individual web pages.
- Pages and sections are ordered to follow the main navigation. First, the home page, then For-Editor, then Contact, followed by the main links from the left navigation top to bottom. Don't move any of the main pages into or out of a section, as that will change the URL and the link from the main left hand navigation will break.
Changes
- New best practices in web advise editors not to embed hyper links in the text itself, but to put the links relevant to a page in resource groups at the end of the page. We redid that for some of the current AAAS pages. This is current best web practice because it makes keeping links updated more easily.You can put the same resource links on multiple pages without having to update them in more than one place.
- We took the links out of embedded text and added those links to resource groups. For help doing this yourself, contact chssweb@gmu.edu.
Suggestions
- The page called About AAAS Courses has links to old catalog; suggest that you link to the specific courses in the Courses App. Please ask chssweb@gmu.edu for help in doing this.
- We suggest you delete the pages in the section Course-Info that are for years past.
Blank Pages
- When we moved the pages from the former AAAS site into the CHSSWeb2 AAAS site, there were a number of pages that had no content. We have put all those pages in a section named "Blank Pages" at the end of the pages view.
